Where it all started

Beacon Brewing Co. was born in 2018 in the heart of LaGrange’s historic Hillside community, inspired by a vision to restore life, gathering, and creativity back into one of the city’s most storied neighborhoods. Rooted in the rich history of the Hillside mill village and named after the original “Beacon” newsletters once distributed to mill workers, Beacon quickly became a place where great food, craft beer, and community came together. What began as a local brewery and restaurant has grown into Hillside Food Hall — a vibrant destination built on the same spirit of connection, local flavor, and revitalization that started it all.
